A Caveman's Tear Vol. I (2022)

$7,000.00

A Caveman’s Tear, the cave art of the primitive man, yet more human than ever. Reinterpreted through abstraction in a contemporary context, it becomes a bridge between our ancestral past and the psychological present that binds us—a man striving to create art from his emotions, within this tangled cavern that is his own mind. Here, Moscoso’s work unfolds like an echo of that primal need to leave a mark, to cry out into the immense void through symbols that are both trace and specter.

The work becomes an emotional palimpsest, where the primitive is re-signified in the contemporary. The stroke is instinctive, but at the same time deliberate; the gesture feels organic, as if the artist, in an act of internal archeology, was digging into his own mind. Here, abstraction is not only a plastic language, but a metaphor of the intangible, of that which one tries to capture, but always slips away. In the end, “A Caveman’s Tear” reminds us that art is nothing more than this: a shadow on the wall, a desperate effort to immortalize the transitory.
